"...but of Love, of Joy and of a Sound Mind."

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25

Thanks Glenn

Glenn was such an encourager. How did he do it? Well, I showed him a riff that I composed and he had a hard time getting the timing right. He loved that challenge and that is an encouragement to me coz he really liked it. I am still trying to transcribe it down, but it's so hard! I can't figure out the exact time-signature, but I could count it over 2 bars of 4. I swear there are two time signature changes in the riff. ARghhhg...

Live from my bedroom

I've uploaded some songs on my Multiply site in a series called "Live from my bedroom" where you'll hear me sing some songs that may never ever be sung again. Some were all recorded when I bought an MD recorder in 1998 and had one of the most musically productive periods of my life. As I can't read or write music, I recorded most of the song line by line and combining them after several takes. Some recordings are more recently on the M-Audio Microtrack 24/96. These are the result of those sesssions through. I'll be recording more songs that I've written since 1994. So take out your ear plugs because I dun care about my reputation now, for I have none when it comes to singing. Wahahaha...

Be warned, horrible singing and mistakes can be heard. But I like it that way, very raw like "see hum". It's so ...erm... me. Wahahaha...

Our God Reigns (Delirious?)

Wow, what a song! What a song! I really love this song. It's a song of hope in the midst of a screwed up world. The version that I heard is from their latest Live CD, "Now Is The Time: Live At Willow Creek, Chicago, U.S.A". Everytime I listen to them, I wonder how they could top what was already been done and they always surprise me with what they come up with in every new CD. I RESPECT THAT!!

Our God Reigns

40 million babies lost to Gods great orphanage,
It’s a modern day genocide and a modern day disgrace
If this is a human right then why aren’t we free?
The only freedom we have is in a man nailed to a tree.

100 million faces, staring at the sky,
Wondering if this HIV will ever pass us by.
The devil stole the rain and hope trickles down the plug,
But still my Chinese take away could pay for someone’s drugs.

Our God reigns, Our God reigns,
Forever your kingdom reigns.

The west has found a gun and it’s loaded with ‘unsure’
Nip and tuck if you have the bucks in a race to find a cure.
Psalm one hundred and thirty nine is the conscience to our selfish crime,
God didn’t screw up when he made you,
He’s a father who loves to parade you.

Yes he reigns, yes you reign, yes you reign,
For there is only one true God,
But we’ve lost the reins on this world,
Forgive us all, forgive us please,
As we fight for this broken world on our knees.

Gotta love those financial advisors on the streets

Because they really test my courage to speak to strangers. Me? Afraid of talking to strangers? No I am not afraid to talk to people, but I am usually very comfortable with my own privacy. So when someone starts to ask me something in the street, I'll feel intruded and annoyed.

Two weeks ago, this pesky gal came up to me while I was at Pasir Ris Interchange figuring how to get to Costa Sands Resorts. I managed to avoid her at first (to my relief), but she came to me again while I was looking at the bus information on a pillar near by. She asked for my number which I was gave reluctantly, however I prayed about my negative attitude and decided to take advantage of the time that she'll call to share the gospel or something. Lo and behold, she called me after my Bangkok trip last night! I told her frankly about me not wanting to buy anything for her and I think I broke her heart when I told her I don't do referals too because I have never done referals for my friends either (just a personal decision). So we talked about other things and I learned that she is a Christian and we had some friends in common from her church and FSV. To cut this long story short, I ended the call by encouraging her to consider herself blessed even though she didn't gain a costomer in me, but a friend (wahaha... I'm either a curse or a blessing) as blessings comes in different forms. I don't know why I had to say that, but it's most likely because of her occupation (which can get quite desperate) and the church she is from (blessings, favour and sometimes money).

If u get an opportunity to meet someone wanting to do a survey with u and u have time, don't just say "I am rushing" if u are not. Just do the survey and use your desgretion. If they are doing a good service, just give them your number even if u won't need them and then pray for them so that when they call u, u'll be ready to be a blessing to them in many many ways.
Merry Christmas...

FOOZ 2006

It was a joy being with u guys tonight. I hope that the sharing helped shaped ur life a bit, but I trust the Lord to make that little bit grow into a strong tree and that reach of your faith will be firm and sure.

Glorify the Lord in everything that you guys do. Nothing more, nothing less...

Hang in there!

Hey peepz,

I know some of you are tired due to ur involvement in various activities. Hang in there! Your labour is not in vain! Make much of ur time to serve and even to rest.

Be good!!

Fig it! We're regrouping!!!

Yes, Glenn and I are jamming together again and we're the only original members of the band. Glenn wanted to autition for Baybeats in January and I asked if he dare to use back the old name and he said why not. Yeah! I also say, "why not"? I am very excited about this project because it's really delightful to hear Glenn do his stuff. He is really one of the most musical guys I've known. His music is not the typical indie-rock thing that I am so familiar with, but he is a accomplish composer/ arranger trying to go indie. Now that is pretty cool but strange. Coz no matter how u hear it, it's not indie enough to be indie, but it's totally musical. This time Glenn is leading the group and not me. It used to be us, but now I just let him run the show. I am excited about this project. I hope it will last longer than the last time (we actually lasted 2 years from 98 to 2000).

Here is a song that we did in 99 with Fabia on vocals. I'll be uploading the one where Cindy sang on a later date and hopefully another song with the current line-up.

Oh Fig it!

The Darker Side of Glory

Here is the demo of "Here am I" that was recorded at Ngee Ann. This is not the version that some of you heard from Liang and Vern at Shaun's birthday. I hope u'll like it somehow.

Obsession: Cantar-x

This is a state of the art digital recorder for film/tv production. Being an 8 track recorder it can also be used as a 8-track multitrack recorder. Sweet!!!
