Ok, since it's is not a secret anymore, I can at last lament about the time the DW dealer in Singapore is taking to deliver the oder I made. Ahrhghghg... so for now til it arrives, I shall stare at this photo and drool... SW, dun be jealous!
I bought his DVD called " Musical Drumming". He is an all rounder. Just look at his CV and u'll know what kind of style he plays by the gigs he played. He is also quite a joker, like me. No wonder I enjoyed it so much. There are 4 hours worth of drumming inside. Most of the lessons are practical lessons unlike the Thomas Lang, which is noit unpractical, but it's emphasis is different. Greg Bissonette's DVD covers a wide range of styles and he share about his approach to the drums in each of those styles. He also stressed on a lot of principles and attitudes about drumming that most young drummer must learn. I really enjoyed watching about 1 hour worth of it. I'll definitely work on some fill ideas that he talked about: mainly with the different variation of the paradiddle roll.

That's the last song in the JOC album. It's also the first song I learned on the guitar thanks to Boon Heng. It's great to finally hear that song on a recording. It's a simple song, very simple song and I am surprised the did it.
The lastest JOC album is pretty amazing. It's actually an album that pays tribute to the Hymns and it's aptly named "Redeption Songs". This reminds me about an article I read about Christian music. It said that today's church music lack any deep doctrinal meaning. It wasn't trying to knock down mordern worship songs, but it came to a point where very little songs contains doctrinal elements. Worse still, some have wrong doctrine! Most of them are filled with emotional responses of onself to God. Remember, such things are no invalid. They are! I love those emotionally charged worship songs and every time I get into it, there is always a weeping pool within me. Yet, my heart rejoices when I hear a song that contains doctrinal truths of the God. It kind of reflect the bible's interpretation of God on His terms!
Hi all, I have decided to use blogger because it seems like a lot more fun. I am a not what you think I am, I am actually very serious and I never like to joke around in everything that I do. But I do not understand why people always laugh at everything I say.
