Those we have left behind

A precious little one touched based with me and I below is the exchange of messages between us. I was so moved by her recollection and relief that she is doing ok as an adult now.

Is there someone that you have neglected? Is there someone that you ought to show concern to? The ones that have been forgotten. The ones that doesn't fit into your mold, when you were not loving enough to have compassion because they are a problem to the dynamics of the group than anything. The ones that were outcast because you cast them out. There is a time to love and time to let go. Before those times arrives, we should be more patient and forebearing.

Compassion - Look at them, not to pitty them, but to feel for the circumstances they are in.

Love - Because perfect love cast out all fears, including the fear of being betrayed by them, the people who you have poured out your life on.

Understanding - Being aware of their circumstances and discerning how they got themselves in to the situation.

Emphathy - Be in their shoes, walk with them

Sympathy - Be their friend, weep or rejoice with them.

These are the CLUES to loving them, not only back to the group, but back to Jesus. Back to Jesus based on our love for Jesus that compels us to reach out to them.

I think it is appropriate to finally share this song I wrote almost 8 years ago. It was inspired by my personal experience with you. Where ever you are now and what ever you are doing, I thank God that you kept in touch with me. It is God's way of assuring me that He has taken care of you. You were always good to me and you were always real towards me and to me. Every time I think of moments we hung out was times at the cafe in city hall when you got me to sing a song impromptu! and at ngee ann having lunch-that crazy ass chicken chop plus mash plus omelette!! all great moments. happy moments. and i didn't have alot of that at that time, i was a very trouble teen going adult, very confused...
and you never judged me. you had always been a good friend.
i am sorry that i've lost touch but here's me and the last 4 plus years...when i get back we must catch up and you must meet george coz he's bloody amazing of a partner....=)
