"...but of Love, of Joy and of a Sound Mind."

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25

Some thoughts birth by AWAREgate

We're seeing a lot of drama within the Christian community lately. It's not yet time to "stand up and be counted for", but time to let the Lord "build His house". I strongly believe that those who "build their house upon the rock" will be the ones who will touch the community in their humility and fervency serving the Lord with little or no fanfare at all. This is opposed to some preachers who make sweeping "prophetic" statements that turns out the opposite. I am referring to a preacher who declared at a nation wide event that Sg will be a "Christian nation" a few years ago (last decade, I believe). Lately, with all the bad press concerning some churches and church leaders, their blessings has turned out to be a curse- a laughing stock. Just like the title of one of the songs in "Jesus Christ Superstar", we ought to ask ourselves "Would Jesus wear a rolex?"

If Christians want to cause some upheaval, let it be because we're preaching the gospel. In our wisdom, let our words be few. For there is a time to be quiet and let our lives be Christ's witness. There will be days when we need to preach like Stephan did, and get "stoned" by society.

Am I becoming too pragmatic? I have a feeling I might be.

Hi Rachel! So glad to receive ur comment! I guess when we start working and spend less time doing ministry work, we tend to shift our mindset to those in our present environment. This is the real world and I am glad that u and I had that grounding and the Holy Spirit to constantly keep our hearts in check.

Hope to see u soon! Are u going to the Retreat? Coz I am and will be bringing Chia Ee along (Everyone calls him Josh now).

:)X
