"...but of Love, of Joy and of a Sound Mind."

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25

sitting alone with God

"If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence...?"

I was reading Psalm 84:

1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Hardly the cry of my heart.

We're all not always yearning for the Lord with our concerns in life. I guess that's why they become a concern, coz Christ isn't always first and our spirit within us knows we need the Lord. That is why while the heart cries out to the Lord, we can't be satisfied with it until our flesh cries out to God, "ABBA!"
