"...but of Love, of Joy and of a Sound Mind."

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 24-25

Warning

Oh no! I feel so disturbed in my spirit suddenly. No it wasn't because I was saddened by Australia's defeat by Italy, but it's because a thought suddenly came into my mind as if it's from God. Since the youths returned from the retreat, I've been praying and looking forward to the youth service since everyone is so rejuninated. It seems that the sparks was about to burn brighter. The first two services after retreat was greeted with great news about how people responded to God in the service. However there was a different report about last sunday's service. I hope that this is just a one-off thing, but it sounded Oh so familiar. If familarity breeds contempt, then I in contempt against spiritual mediocrity. I tasted that awful taste of worshipping without the Spirit. I dun want to taste that nauseating taste ever again. What did I hear in my head?

God will not move in our midst because he chose not to move. No amount of persuasion can move the hearts of man towards God unless God moves them. No amount of prayers can move the hand of God to change man except for the mere pleasure of God to do so. So I pray that if I found favour in Your sight, Lord. May I be your delight as I delight myself in You. Grant us favour to see revival come to our lives. Quicken our hearts to You! To hunger for your touch and to hunger for your Word. One without the other will mean nothing at all. Keep us in Your plan til we enter the Promise Land. Delight is us as we delight ourselves in You.

O what a 'revival'!!! Where's the cries of repentance of these pseudo-revivalists? where's the cries of repentance of pride? These 'feelings' and 'lies' will plagued these 'pseudo' meetings until knees are on the ground, face-down on the floor and humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways that God will in His mercy, heal the land. I continue to be amazed by the fire that's easily quenched by the world

Let's all get ready for what is to come.

Take heart and not be weary.

And all is good is in His time!

What's to come? take heed lest the Day of the Lord shall overtake the church and then, there will not be any more time for one to repent. Repentance takes place today, now. and will come only when people began to humble themselves and pray, and repent! 2 Chronicles 7:14. Pray that Lord in His mercy will bring about the Spirit of conviction and sweep across the nation and really know what is meant by putting Him first.

Yes, I pray that we will really know what it means to put Christ first.

Revival comes when God in His mercy and delight, bring forth a renewal of His fellowship with Man, that in we, when we resolve in our humility, to repent and turn our hearts before God. Revival comes in our response to God's delight and our effort is required in response to His act of renewal by our repentance.

So to say, revival is not by our effort but the very delight of God is like having a simple half cooked meal which will not nourishes but it does fill our stomach.

Yawns.

Our response to the Gospel is the act of God and not of man. Therefore Salvation cannot be attributed to man's reponse, but the mere delight of God to stir the hearts of man which is evident in his response to gospel in repentance.

It is true that salvation is not attributed to Man’s response alone, but Man’s response is needed as Man is persuaded beyond our fallen nature by the conviction of the Holy Spirit to respond to the call. For how can the sheep turn and move through that narrow gate without guidance of our Shepherd? Don't mistake the arminian stand and calvinistic stand. The response is needed to a call, the call of the holy spirit and his work of conviction on our lives.
